More inmates put on house arrest could ease Jackson County jail staffing crisis

Jackson County hopes to double or triple the number of inmates on house arrest as one way to compensate for a shortage of guards to adequately guard prisoners at the county detention center, officials said Monday.

  1. Oh course. Letting violent criminals back out in trouble streets on "house arrest" instead of lockdown makes sense. I'm sure they will obey all of the rules. Right now they only have four people supervising house arrest. Tripling their caseload and adding two more people will be a disaster. You can be sure to see violent crimes skyrocket even more when these people are released.

Imagine how the victims and witnesses will feel with these shitheads getting out on house arrest. The ones who do cooperate and testify will back out.

  2. Send them all to the Star's HQ. Should be plenty of space available there, and it will give the journotrash a chance to walk the walk.

  3. Just let them go. They can't even properly administer house arrest protocols. Fuck it.

  4. Just close the fucking jail down, lay off everybody, close down Jean Petersucker Bakers office and tell the dumb cunt she is unemployed. Just let all the prisoners loose and hope they kill each other.
