ReplyDeleteAll this breathless rah rah at the front end of "development" ignores the fact that most of these projects aren't financially sustainable and downtown will end up with newer buildings that turn out to be just as empty as what was there before.
But the "transactional" folks like attorneys, developers, land flippers, PR flacks, and others who cash in on each transaction will be just fine and back for more.
And with the empty vessels who occupy KCMO city hall, the perpetual motion machine will grind on and on.
And all at YOUR expense.
