TKC EXCLUSIVE QUESTION: IS DEADLY CRIME SPREE 2017 MAKING KANSAS CITY UNLIVABLE FOR FAMILIES?!?!
Amid this already bloody Summer in Kansas City, the topic of increasing violent crime is at the forefront of the local conversation for people who really care about this town and aren't being paid to push another taxpayer subsidy.
Here's the sitch . . .
Kansas City counted 53 murders at this time last year, currently the official number stands at 76 -- A 43% increase year-to-date.
Dr. Ernest Evans warned us: "In the twelve month period July 1, 2016--June 30, 2017 we have had 148 homicides in KCMO--making this the third highest twelve month period for homicides in the city's history."
However, this personal story about a "dream house" gone wrong offers an important perspective . . .

We know that life is nice inside luxury downtown condos or in the affluent sections of the Crossroads.
However, our takeaway from an EXCELLENT Fox4 report about Ruskin fading into oblivious brings us to this question . . .
IS KANSAS CITY BECOMING TOO DANGEROUS FOR YOUNG FAMILIES?!?!
We won't even delve into the slightly improving but still ongoing problems with the schools.
And notice that most of the development luxury life promo is focused on hipsters or biz people without many youngsters or primary/secondary education options touted for those who want to make their homes inside the loop.
Right now it's simply a question of survival against rolling gun battles, increase property crime and elected leadership who value Downtown development schemes over public safety.
