  1. Don't worry. KC will ask for more cash in a year.

  2. I bet the bribes going around downtown could at least pay for half of that Starlight deal.

  3. And the idiot who planted the tree in the middle of the sidewalk should be let go .

  4. There should be a vote coming down the pipe here in the next year or so to renew another $300 million dollar infrastructure bond that's been in place for years. And of course the message from S'lie and the rest of City Hall will be that we absolutely NEED that additional $300 million dollar vote to pass or the city will go to hell in a handbasket. But, of course, they'll make no mention of the $800M dollar blank check they just got in April.

And don't be shocked to see more city money going towards new sidewalks that run alongside "private" developments. I'm sure there'll be more tax payer money going towards sidewalks and infrastructure in and around the P&L (although we're already paying $14 million per year towards that fleecing) and other private development sites. And prepare yourselves now as a good portion of these infrastructure dollars will go towards "infrastructure" in and around the Loews Convention Hotel and the New KCI. Thanks S'lie!!!

  7. First priority for bond cash should be getting the stoplights off felony freeway.

  8. I absolutely love the photo. Tell me again, where does the person in the wheelchair go?? And how do they get to the street and the piled up snow? Who allowed these utilities there rather than bury them or put them on a roof or in the alley? Now we know this isn't Main St, or we'd see the Toy Train tracks on the pavement.

And please refresh my memory, about the $104,000 lawsuit settlement to Theresa who? Brings to mind Mammygate and Gloria Squitiro...

If it weren't for inept government, in KCMO, there'd be NO government at all.

WWJD? What would Burns & Mac do?
