KCI Single-Terminal Secrecy Stays Losing

One more complaint about the clandestine revenue grab that's worth a read for evening denizens of the local discourse. Take a look:

Councilman: No more secrets for KCI bidding process

A Kansas City councilman is calling for greater transparency in the bidding process for work at Kansas City International Airport. The deadline for bids to rebuild a terminal at KCI passed at 4 p.m. Thursday. City officials decided not to release the names of the companies that submitted bids, which was a concern for Councilman Quentin Lucas.

  1. That is a public process, no ifs ands or buts. Seriously, if the city won't straighten itself out its time to get the mo AG or feds involved. There are NO provisions in the city charter or Missouri statutes that permit "hiding" of a public process. Seriously. If media is complicit, who will make the complaint to the AG? If I try to set up a petition to the AG, are there enough commentators here that would leave the veil of anonymity to put their name to it? Where are the "power players" in opposition to this as far as legal moves with the state. CPP, SMI, the gal from JoCo?

  2. Fuck Quentin Lucas. What the fuck took this clown so long to decide to take this position? He had to wait to see which way the wind was blowing. Just another self-serving wanna be political jackoff. No better than Sly the fat turd.

  3. This doesn't mean Quentin Lucas has any morals or ethics or honesty. He clearly has none of those. He simply believes this whole thing is going to blow up in Sly's face and he wants to distance himself from it. He deserves no credit for doing what's right. He's just doing what he thinks is best for himself.

  5. Because most of them don't believe in the bible and constitution. They believe in only their self interest making them insufferablily self righteous and corrupt.
