KANSAS CITY SOCIAL MEDIA AND TV NEWS JOURNALISM RESCUES YOUNGSTER!!!

Nice news today and a reminder that the newspaper hasn't helped anybody in a long time . . .

Captured on video: TV station’s crew locates toddler taken in stolen car in KCK: SkyTracker headed to Leavenworth County to track down the location from a cell phone ping of one of the parents' phones. SkyTracker pilot Captain Gregg Bourdon and photographer James Moore scanned the area and noticed an abandoned, silver vehicle matching the description of the car stolen from the Valero at 7th and Riverview. A quick call back to the station to update the newsroom, and 41 Action News Assignment Editor Steve Kaut alerted law enforcement.

You decide . . .

  1. Hilarious. I remember back in 95 when I thought.. goodby ads, tv, and mainstream media when broadband internet was preparing to roll out.

  2. ^^^ Good old days. Now it's ads, tv, mainstream media, fake news, lowest common denominator shit, and worse social media all wrapped up in one nasty package.
