Kansas City Dead-Tree Media Fire Sale

We talked about this sad real estate move early in the year and now it's news fact . . . Here's the newspaper scaling down their operation in much the same way as their subscription base and circulation. Take a look:

An affiliate of Kansas City-based 3D Development, which is led by developer Vince Bryant, has purchased the Kansas City Star headquarters building at 1729 Grand Blvd. An affiliate of Kansas City-based 3D Development has entered into an agreement to buy The Kansas City Star headquarters building at 1729 Grand Blvd.

  2. Wow. $42 million is what the Star used to do in sales in a single quarter. And didn't they spend $200 million to build the printing plant?
