More talk of rewriting local history, here's a glimpse a hotspots in the Kansas City culture war. Checkit:
Some calling for removal of Confederate memorial in Kansas City
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A controversy surrounding two landmarks in Kansas City has been the talk of the town recently. One many drive past every day and, another - a popular place to visit on the Country Club Plaza. "I think it's beautiful," said Norma Seidel as she sat at the JC Nichols Fountain on the Plaza.
Ok
ReplyDeleteSo let's tear down Walt disneys old studio on Linwood blvd because he made the movie "song of the south"
And also rename everything with his name on it
DeleteI am offended every time I see something named after Martin Luther King. He was guilty of plagiarism and marital infidelity.
ReplyDeleteMost negroes couldn't tell you the difference between Robert E Lee and Bruce Lee..
ReplyDeleteKey word, "Some" also described as "some"one who has nothing better to do.

ReplyDeleteYou know this whole thing is getting out of hand. If you change the name of Nichols fountain, how are you going to explain the who, what, where, and when of the Plaza without naming J.C. Nichols? People will come to K.C. and what will be said about the fountain, that this guy built the Plaza but we don't use his name because he was a racist? Hell I don't even like my own nationality but life goes on. Same goes with the memorial, like it or not it's a part of history!
This thing can go both ways. SOME of us can demand we do away with black history month or take away some of the organizations that are directed to blacks and other minorities, because it's racist towards whites.
It's history, can't change it and it's a pretty low-key monument, that you could hardly tell what it is for, just know it's well made and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMaking believe you should re-write history is silly and "journalists" like Kraske who are dying for attention should be ashamed of himself.
ReplyDeleteWhy stop with the Nichols Fountain?
How about that racist Andrew Jackson, whose genocide of native Americans is a well-documented fact?
Take down the statue in front of the courthouse and re-name the county itself.
And Rev. Johnson, who established the mission in Fairway was also well-known for his treatment of native Americans.
Tear down the Indian Mission and re-name that county too.
All the "resistance" and marching around protesting has made every day the Silly Season and its clueless participants look more ridiculous every day.
How about some adults who actually take the time to learn enough about issues to be able to make some thoughtful recommendations and proposals?
People should be more concerned about all the murders in killa city but yet they refuse to discuss that
ReplyDeleteI demand that lee's summit change their name because it may be somehow be related to someone who maybe coulda mighta been racist
ReplyDeleteMaybe that's why the coons keep killin each other because of a fountain named after some white guy that did what everybody else was doing a hundred years ago. It's not like some black kid who shot his grandpa and stuffed him into a freezer for spilling sugar or anything
ReplyDeleteIf they mess with that monument I will be down there with cavalry & artillery faster than you can whistle Dixie.
ReplyDeleteI can whistle Dixie too!
ReplyDeleteIt's just so sickening. We all have to not only pretend that diversity is great, when we all know that blacks are a plague on mankind, but we have to kiss their asses too.
ReplyDeleteGod I hate the fuckers so much.
Society is doomed and there's nothing anyone will do to stop it. Removing the monument or renaming the fountain are politically easy because if one doesn't, one is an insensitive racist. This is political correctness run amok.
ReplyDeleteTake it all down. The Civil War never happened. There was never racism in Kansas City. These are fake monuments.
ReplyDeleteNegroes really don't care about anything other than their welfare check and all the other free stuff they get. It is white liberal pieces of shot like Kraske who get everything stirred up so his white liberal gay buddies will think he's cool. If he is such a friend of the oppressed begro, why does he live in Joco?
ReplyDeleteTake it all down. Stop the welfare handouts to negroes but take all the shit down
ReplyDeleteKraske, like many has-beens, will do anything to get a little mention in the local press. What he and his ilk don't realize is that their "causes" are actually counterproductive. I know a lot of people who used to be pretty open-minded about important issues, but the stupidity that Kraske and his kind call for are driving them to sentiments more in line the 9:25.
ReplyDeleteHistory should not be sanitized and rewritten just to appease some washed up has-been like Kraske or Yael.
Too bad the fucking pussy southerners were too lazy to pick their own cotton.
ReplyDeleteThis is insanity. Leave this stuff ALONE. Period.
ReplyDeleteConfederate monuments are just participation trophies for racist special snowflakes
ReplyDeleteBut by all means leave them up. It will help remind everyone what losers they were.
How about we stop pandering to and rewarding boons until they actually do something positive and productive in this country.
ReplyDeleteAt Gregory Blvd and Troost there are more than 50 monuments plus a 30 ft obelisk dedicated to the CSA and veterans Since none of the illiterate and uneducated who frequent this site have bothered to learn history of the USA these will always remain
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, remove those old racist monuments. Replace them with something useful...liquor stores, smokes shops, payday loans, dollar stores, and fried chicken joints.
ReplyDelete^^Plus, candles, balloons, and T-shirt print shops.
ReplyDeleteI think welfare is racist. Black people get paid to never have a job. I don't
ReplyDeletePersonally, I'm glad we have monuments to confederate war dead in our cemeteries. It makes it so much easier to find their graves when I have to take a piss.
