Learn how to schedule. This is such bull. It shows what lack of brains the city management has. Ridiculous.
Question, would it be cheaper or cost more to staff properly?
Kcmo 1% earning tax justification
Make no mistake, this has nothing to do with poor scheduling, management, etc. These fire-fighters and the administration of them are milking it for every penny. The overtime is intentional and is used as a reward system. I wouldn't doubt for a second that the overtime practice is much like Forte's overtime; i.e. show up to a scene, leave, then bill for a minimum 4-four block.
Democrat greedy Firefighter union slobs scamming the taxpayers --making 6 figures for sitting around the fire station --watching porn.
Sounds like the water dept. antics. Lets stop overtime in both places. No rewards for Berardi and Leeds. To much over budget. Your FIRED!
I am so glad I don't live in Kansas City. All aspects of your city government are so incompetent and would appear to be dishonest.
I'm still wondering why KCPD payroll wasn't released. What else are they hiding???
What's wrong with watching Porn on the tax payer's dime??? Really???
@6:28 PD Ot is a fraction of fire and PD has many more people.
kcpd is hiding something and inquiring minds wants to know, Kcpd has the highest payroll and it deserves to be scrutinized like everybody else's
Don't release the KCPD payroll to the public! I don't want my wife to know how much money I make.
^^^ Finally a bit of honesty in the comments.
I've never tried to find the KCPD payroll, but isn't it required to be made publicly available? Whether online or in person. I would like some of these "inquiring minds" to look into it. I'm not a journo, blogger, just a regular joe wasting internet time commenting on TKC. I agree there is probably a ton of corruption-by-appearance on the KCPD budget. But, these City departments count on apathy by the mainstream media, and lack of time by small-time blogs or other interested parties; and it's worked out well for the City. All of our screeching on here means nothing to the powerbrokers and corrupt departments who benefit by having "no one" care.
