    The KC STar and the Pitch and Inkkc (Star derivative) have totally dropped the ball on arts coverage.

    So thank God the Crossroads people stepped up and are reporting a comprehensive list, and MAP, and stories about First Fridays! The only one not on there is Red Star Studio/Belger Crane Yards--which I can understand because technically they are not in the Crossroads--they are deep in the ghetto, and hard to find, 2011 Tracy Avenue, accessible ONLY via turning north from 22nd Street, one of the most remarkable ceramic palaces in America. (It's also the residence of Dick Belger, who has a legendary art collection respected nationally. He's the dude who moved all the large sculptures in KC--since his family biz is Belger Cartage.) So if this new blog would just add Belger Crane Yards to their map, life on First Fridays would be ideal.
