KCK police department considers using body cameras

The Unified Government 2018 budget includes a provision for body cameras for Kansas City, Kansas police officers. The proposal for fiscal 2018 also includes a request for 30 new police vehicles and additional dashboard cameras. There are some concerns about when officers should begin recording their actions on video, said Scott Kirkpatrick, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #4 president.
