Disqualify burns and Mac, the mayor looks like he was caught setting a fix in private. Do you really think he wanted this undressed in public. A review should be open to 200 million dollar upgrades. Outside kcmo should just call bs

ReplyDeleteThen again he is calling for regional collaboration on transit while wrongly focusing not on the massively applicable autonomous breakthroughs but instead on the limited role overpriced streetcar that has marginal scope and utility. What a bs artist, do you want to hear him pontificate and blather with Reardon as the Rockhurst mafia on behalf of burn em Mac daddy as bs artists masquerading as statesmen while they act as special interest fixers. The public is not having it.

ReplyDeleteIt just sounds like S'Lie and the KCMO politicos are trying to give Burns and Mac a sweetheart deal on this airport. Who is backing the bonds on this thing if their projections, much like the P&L District, don't meet reality and there ends up being a shortfall? Are tax payers on the hook like we are for the P&L?
ReplyDeleteThat's the big I want answered. I don't think some lower income family on the east side need to be paying, or even put at risk of paying, for something they never use if the money comes up short on repayment. We took all the risk on the P&L. Yes, the P&L is shiny and pretty. But that was a HORRIBLE deal for KCMO where we got left holding the bag at the tune of $14M/year for many years to come while Cordish just rakes in cash. It cannot be where this thing gets build, S'lie, Burns & Mac and the rest of their cronies get rich. Then when the additional flights and revenues don't come like they say they will, tax payers have to make up the difference....AGAIN!
