TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY UNION DUDES FILE PETITION TO PUT BURNS & MAC NEW SINGLE-TERMINAL AIRPORT MOU ON THE BALLOT!!!

The Burns & Mac MOU is now taking its first step toward the ballot according to City Hall insiders.

To wit . . .

JUST NOW: THE BURNS & MAC "PRIVATE" FINANCING SCHEME FILED TO GET ON THE NOVEMBER BALLOT BY WAY OF CITIZEN INITIATIVE PETITION COMING SOON TO KANSAS CITY STREETS!!!

Mayor and council couldn't agree on this plan and put it on the back burner, now union leaders and local power players are skipping City Hall and attempting to take their effort to hijack airport revenue directly to voters.

Getting petitions can be a pricey prospect but ultimately the PRIVATIZATION SCHEME will still have to meet win voter approval citywide.

  1. November ballot looks insane. At least 3 airport initiatives by the time we're done.

  2. Even if they have 15 I'll still vote no to all of them

  3. What a dumb move.

Why not wait and get more support?

They're going to waste a lot of money on this and if there's even a tiny opposition campaign, it will win.

  5. Duke has lost his fucking mind. He simply has no idea what in the fuck he is doing. First he goes after Loar and finds himself standing alone. Now he's trying to take a no bid MOU to the voters. AFLCIO is a damn joke now. Come on all, throw him out.

    1. I completely agree. The airport is a shithole and we should go to a one terminal plan, but Duke is embarrassing himself. If the right plan is vetted and submitted the voters will agree. Pandering to the mayor and Burns and Mac is no way to do it.

  6. Hey union guys! NO-vember

  7. The labor unions obviously want it for the construction jobs and nothing more. Whether it's a good plan is irrelevant. Can someone please find something else for them to milk while the grownups decide if we need a new terminal and how to pay for it?

  8. Union crybabies have always been the biggest mooches in the country. As many Mexicans as we have running loose, we should just hire them. They would work for about a third the costt of the unions and probably do a better job.

  10. Trade unionist and Business Unions are rackets. Try organizing a neighborhood clean up and you'll wind up going against one of them

  12. Unions are so popular these days!! This will definetly kill the deal.

Burns & Mac is a lot dumber than I thought.

  13. Union folks are the only thing left that can be called middle class, can't blame them a bit for trying to keep the dream alive. Unions fight with the rich and powerful with some smart people who know what the crooked rich corporate world make and it still is only about 10% percent of the total cost of their product, just ask gm and ford

  17. How about a look at who actually owns the "minority contractors" who are required to be included in the city proposal - but I guess that would require an actual news organization which we certainly don't have here in KC. This has been one of the biggest patronage scams since they were first required. I am all for the concept if, in fact, the firm is truly a minority owned and operated entity.
