Steve Kraske Successfully Trolls Kansas City With J.C. Nichols Fountain Rename Game

We talked about this over the weekend in great detail and now right wing bloggers take on the notion. Checkit:

Kraske: Rename Plaza Fountain Because Racism - The Sentinel

Some of Kansas City's fountains are racist, though the vast majority of Kansas City residents probably had no idea. Enter the Star's Steve Kraske who penned a column recommending the J.C. Nichols fountain near on the Country Club Plaza be renamed to combat racism.

  3. What will that accomplish....ZIPPO
Why judge only by today's standards....
Go encourage another balloon release...seems to be today's standard for accomplishing nothing.
What's ironical is the people in 100 years will not even know what a newspaper is, so it may be time to get off your high horse!!!!

  4. Really weak writing, this guy teaches journalists? That is a shame.

  5. High fives for giving everyone the illusion that you care about colored people.

  6. Martin Luther King Jr. Fountain. It would be appropriate and you know what Chris Rock says...

  7. Nichols hated the average white person as much if not more than blacks.

Dame Karma has put her stamp on his legacy.

  9. George Washington owned slaves --

rename the nation's Capitol , and take him off the dollar bill.

  10. Thomas Jefferson fucked his slaves. Tear down the Jefferson Memorial.

  11. Kraske is a limp-twisted queer dicksmoker. Who reads his drivel anyway? It's in the Star.

  12. Steve Kraske it appears is trying to commit self suicide of his career. But if he wants to eliminate everything that has J C Nichols name or input on it then we by all means should tear down the Plaza. Lets tear down anything and everything that he was a part of in the development of the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Lets just tear down and destroy everything he was a part of in Kansas City. Then lets start on ole Tom Pendergast places as well.

Was JC guilty of using practices in controlling his developments that today are frond upon, yes he did and many other stood right beside him with hands held out doing the same thing.

The fountain was built using Nichols, city and private funds that included a collection done by school children in the area.

To rename this fountain would be a huge insult to a family that played and still plays a role in Kansas City today.

To me a even bigger insult would be the Star allowing writers such as Mr. Kraske to even be allowed to continue writing such hogwash drippings about anything.

No wonder journalism is dying when you have clowns like this teaching our students.

  15. Kraske lives in Johnson County and loves to tell Kansas Citians how to live their lives!! Go back to North Dakota, or wherever you are from!!!!

  16. ^^^^^What he lives in a home built by ole JC himself?

    ReplyDelete
  17. We ought to spend more time rooting out the racists who are alive and kicking people to the curb in 2017.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I'm Irish American and Steve krack head offends me...... change all the fountains names to the fine Irish women of the world, bwahaha!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Racism is dead.......... stupid people on the other hand......

    ReplyDelete
  20. WE NEED TO JUST START OVER LET THE BLACKS HAVE KILLA CITY SO THEY CAN FINISH RUINING IT. WHAT A FUCKIN DUMP

    ReplyDelete
  21. Harry Truman owed his political career to Pendergast. Former Governor Teasdale has an office building named after him although he was a friend to the mafia. Kit Bond was a fat drunk but we have a bridge named for him. All those early leaders with streets named after them never discriminated against blacks? Did they welcome the transgendered?
