Teaching is a crap job. It's a dangerous job where you generally shown no respect from the students, their parents and their supervisors. Urban schools do not welcome white teachers to teach black students, and it's an uphill slog to even get through one day. I know people who got their education degree and found out how awful it was after a short time in the classroom.
ReplyDeleteGiven that KC schools are a fucking wasteland anyway what the hell do we have to loose? Everyone from the city to the state has been making excuses for this clusterfuck for decades. Why not? It is your money - not theirs.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in school we had the Board of Education that looked over the schools and in the schools there was the board of education that you never wanted to meet up with.
ReplyDeleteTo bad one of those boards is no longer in use and the other one lost all common sense 30 years ago
Well yeah. Look at the students, the parents, the board. Duh.
