Kansas City Remembers TuPac

Lot of things about this guy people don't know beyond the many faults of this artist who died two decades ago . . . My favorite fun fact is that that he was exceptionally prolific and spent most of his days in the studio recording volumes upon volumes of verses that kept his name alive long after his violent demise . . . Hip-hop is a billion dollar global industry and while most of it is meaningless tripe, the legacy of an urban poet is honored today by Kansas City rap music purists . . .

Sympathetic Vibrations | Picture Him Rolling

This Friday, June 16, would have been the 46th birthday for one of hip-hop's biggest and brightest stars, Tupac Shakur. The emcee - best known for his infectious smile, his towering bravado, and his thought-provoking lyrics - died in 1996 during a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas.

  1. He was just another turd in the punch bowl.

  2. Good riddance

  3. Just another thug dying from the thug life, now we're gonna have to put up with the hood rats thinking he was the greatest thing since sliced bread

  4. "Now can your mind picture, a thug nigga drinkin' hard liquor
This ghetto life has got me catchin' up to God quicker
Who would figure that all I need was a hair trigger
Semi-automatic MAC-11 just to scare niggas..."

What a piece of shit. Encouraging other pieces of shit to lead the "Thug Life" and become "Rap Stars" or play in the NBA, when, in truth, after they graduate from High School unable to read, write or understand basic math, they will, thanks to "2 cans short of a two pack", head straight to prison.

This, while the media and entertainment industry lionizes the dumb fuck with hagiographies of his life as a "genius".

    What a fuckin joke.

    Green Eggs and Ham.

  5. Tupac was just a product, completely interchangeable with all of the other mumbling stoooges who've made themselves wealthy by peddling violence to his own community. I wonder how many kids have died trying to be this illiterate moron.

A thug died from thug shit. No news here.

  6. HA Ha HA..this is funny..all you old, white, square-ass dudes commenting on Tupac. Your responses are as predictable as they are terrible.

    1. And also true. Work on getting yourself some worthwhile role models.

  7. And as predictable the one commenter 8:44AM, who calls everyone an, "Old square, white guy" because he can't handle the fact that a dead rapper wasn't the genius he thinks he is.

    ReplyDelete
  8. ^^^Another predictable and terrible response from a square-ass white guy.

  9. Who was he and what was he famous for besides getting his thug ass shot to hell.

  10. Tupac should inspire Storm to drop about 150 lbs.

  11. His "All Eyez" movie opening at the Cinemark should inspire dozens of urban scholar flash mobs and beatings on the Plaza this weekend.

  12. Let's see..."who was he and what was he famous for besides getting his ass shot to hell"...."Tupac was a product completely interchangeable"..."what a fuckin joke"..."good riddance"..."another turd in the punch bowl". For someone who didn't matter, you old white fools certainly paid your respects. Even the idiot sad-sack chuck (7:27AM) came to pay his respects. Tupac would be proud you remembered!

    1. I don't respect him. He was just a thug.

Whatever you do, never try to be anything better than a thug just like Tupac. I mean, if you started wanting to be doctors and lawyers you just might catch up with whitey.

      Think about that.

  13. ^^^Again, thanks for coming out and paying those respects..then coming back to give more mad respect. Maybe if you had a job or something, you wouldn't be on here all day. Try to do better bro...I know it's hard out here for some busted-out white folks...but like Tupac himself said "You gotta keep your head up!"

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yep, no engagement with the substance. Kind of what I expected, "bro."

Oh well, keep idealizing criminals and shooting each other over sneakers, who cares really. Just keep the violence in your own community, just like Tupac taught you.

Maybe your idol should have kept his head down. That way he wouldn't be decomposed bullet-ridden worm food.

    2. Thanks for totally failing to comprehend English, and staying a slave.

Tupac and the rest have done their job keeping you violent, ignorant, and obsessed with whatever whitey wants to sell you. I'd say something about reclaiming the economics of your community, but why bother.

Tax dollars? Don't make me laugh. Say hi to them down at Dollar General, and try not to die too fast in the ghetto.

      Tupac would be proud. :)

  14. ^^Thanks for coming out today and laying it down for "Pac" Maybe if you weren't on your computer all day , you could become a real contributing member to society. Work towards that. I'm gettin' tired of all my tax dollars going to support out-of-work white dudes.

Don't let the fake race war distract you from the cless war.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Hey 2:46PM, you're being trolled and you are too old, too stupid, and way too racist to get it. Are you really dumb enough to think that you were corresponding with someone from the hood? Every time you took the bait, you proved what a clueless, hateful, moron you really are. But like "Pac" said.."you gotta keep their heads ringing!"

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hateful, racist, blah blah. This is what you say when you have no arguments. Any time anyone challenges your fragile worldview you crumble into a little ball and throw labels.

Anyway, point taken. It is a complete waste of time to try to educate people who love their chains and the thugs who keep selling them.

But hey, someone's gotta keep the urban genocide going! Tupac taught his fans well. Don't ever, ever try to rise above. Stay stupid, poor, imprisoned, and totally dependent.

Keep those heads ringing! Or whatever.

  17. Nobody ever committed an act of violence because of Tupac's music. But one comment was right, all of the hate is coming from bitter, old white men who are jealous and angry rather than curious to learn new things.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Well, except for the other musical thug genius poet who ventilated him, right? Hard to tell for sure.

  18. ^^^Old man STOP. You got played. You were as exposed as the hateful, stupid racist you actually are. It's not labels when it's YOU who is throwing them dummy. At least have the balls to own your ignorance instead trying to cop out. Who do you think you are to try an educate anyone? If you knew a goddamned thing about Tupac which you very clearly don't, you would know he did rise above. He became an artist, movie star, and poet. But that doesn't fit your old, white, clueless hateful world view now does it?

    1. Not old, and not really white, though I know you gotta stick with what you think you know. We call that ignorance. And good job being racist and ageist. ;)

He died full of bullets like any other thug. The end.
