KANSAS CITY HOMICIDE SPIKE 2017 TRAGIC FACT: ARGUMENTS AMONG LEADING CAUSES OF LOCAL MURDER!!!

This not-so-fun-fact comes up at least once every year . . . Peaceful conflict resolution is NOT a skill that's commonly practiced in Kansas City if our murder stats are any indication. In fact, from the top down this cowtown has trouble handling disputes in a respectful manner. Whilst the upper-class solve their problems with fake politeness and political vendettas . . . Po'folk are forced to use guns. Read more:

The quiet neighborhood in Raytown, Missouri, was just coming to life that Friday morning, May 20, 2016, when Daniel Wilson pulled up in his old white Monte Carlo, witnesses say, carrying a grudge and a gun.

  2. Safe neighborhoods depend on:
Residents who respect themselves and one another and work together for the good of their neighborhoods and communities.
Leadership from respected community leaders, the faith community, and others that encourages and supports responsible citizenship and commonly-accepted behaviors.
Local government that places public safety in the very high position of priority that it deserves and acts in the interest of the law-abiding public though an effective and well-managed and staffed police department.
In parts of KCMO there are NONE of the most basic elements of building even rudimentary resident/police cooperation and collaboration regular folks just trying to live their lives, earn a living, and raise their families are the ones who regularly suffer.
Name a single elected official who makes a safe community their top issue.
Name one east side "leader" who has taken a serious position on where the responsibility for the endless and increasing homicides actually lies.
    Without vision, the people perish.

  5. Looks like THIS US Department of Justice is actually going to work with our local police instead of against them. Check the story in KMBC 9.

  9. Out of 66 murders, how many were hood rats anyway? A lot. So what exactly is the problem?

  10. Elected and top officials liver everywhere else but in the communities they want to fix. Curfews save young adults lives, but curfews do not stop drivebys or killings of people sitting in their cars on hot evenings, children in the house in bed, or people going to work early in the mornings.

Rushing to the scene AFTER a shooting does nothing to change the problem. If you are not invested in a particular community, how can you have the heart to fix it? Basically, its just another "to do" on a long list that never ends.
