Travel risky for giraffes, experts say in wake of LV Zoo death

Despite its size and elegance, a giraffe is a fragile creature, susceptible to injury and easily stressed. The long, narrow neck that allows giraffes to forage from treetops in the wild can be a great weakness in captivity, where some have suffered neck injuries.
