TKC TOLD YOU SO!!! KANSAS CITY PROTESTERS UNITE AGAINST PREZ TRUMP ON 'INTERNATIONAL WORKERS' MAY DAY!!!
Today Kansas City denizens supporting the $15-Minimum-Wage, immigrant rights, women's rights, LGBT advocacy and a litany of other "progressive" causes will unite in protest against Prez Trump.
No word on if these folks count as part of the 25 million tourists or if they've already signed the petition to impeach Prez Trump.
We talked about this last week but here's a summary . . .
Planned as a United We Stand, Divided We Fall day of action, the event is to begin May 1 at 5 p.m. at Barney Allis Plaza at 12th and Wyandotte streets, where speakers will address the topic of We Are America. At 6 p.m., marchers are scheduled to walk down 12th Street to City Hall, where Mayor Sly James is expected to read a proclamation in support of the movement."
Join the May 1 march. Then register for the conference at unitedwestandkc.org!
Yes, the passage seems correct . . .
MAYOR SLY IS AT REPORTEDLY LEADING THIS POLITICAL FIGHT DESPITE THE FACT THAT HE SOLD OUT FAST FOOD WORKERS WHEN HE VOTED AGAINST THEIR PAY INCREASE!!!
Apparently, these "International workers" don't keep up with local politics and the Mayor's shameless equivocating on controversial issues wherein he FAILED to live up to the courage of his convictions very much like so many other Democratic Party denizens who continue to sell out the working-class in a way that's much more insidious than Prez Trump's populist trade rhetoric via Twitter.
And so, the marching and the protesting seems like good fun as long as nobody checks the legislative record.
You decide . . .
