TKC MUST SEE!!! VOTER MAILER AGAINST TOY TRAIN STREETCAR EXPANSION SENDS KANSAS CITY SNOWFLAKES INTO RAGE!!!

The current Midtown Kansas City election underway thrives on secrecy and a rigged vote that will use only a few hundred private ballots to garner hundreds of millions worth of local taxpayer dollars.

Today, a cadre of tax fighters attempted to shine some light on this clandestine bit of corruption via snail mail.

We offered a look at this image FIRST on TKC and now this post provides just a bit more deets on the public response:

KANSAS CITY TOY TRAIN SUPPORTERS ARE RAGING OVER TODAY'S STREETCAR OPPOSITION MAILER AND MORE PUBLIC SCRUTINY OF THE SECRET BALLOT!!!

Notice this time around there's very little info about the election from supporters and not much effort to help "sign up" the denizens of Midtown . . . Instead, the whole point of this election is to keep things quiet and hope Kansas City voters don't notice the proposal that was already resoundingly rejected by a far bigger swath of residents back in 2014. Credit to tax fighters on this final push as they attempt to garner more attention for their cause beyond the current gerrymandered district.

You decide . . .

  5. The word needs to get out so people can register and vote no. I owned a unit downtown and had to jump through hoops to get my ballot to vote no, while a group volunteered to deliver and notarize ballots for those voting for the streetcar.
Don't forget the water and sewer tax that we did vote for. And yet there were still water main breaks weekly. Where did that money go (streetcar?).
I moved out of KC to the burbs. Hated to leave, but hated the taxes and disintegration of services in the city.

  7. I am in favor of the streetcar and would be ok with mail in ballot but am troubled by the application and notarization requirements and the city's apparent failure to make it clear to the voters exactly what is going on and why. Way to go KC in feeding the conspiracy trolls!
