TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! DR. ERNEST EVANS CRUNCHES THE NUMBERS AMID DEADLY DILEMMA: KANSAS CITY CONFRONTS 30% HOMICIDE SPIKE 2017 AS NUMBER OF POLICE ON LOCAL STREETS PLUMMETS!!!

The homicide totals after a tragic and bloody weekend have been calculated and the results should cause concern for every resident of the Kansas City metro.

Accordingly . . .

KANSAS CITY NOW COUNTS 52 HOMICIDES IN A 30% MURDER SPIKE THIS YEAR OVER LAST AT THE START OF SUMMER!!!

There were 40 murders at this date on the calendar last year and now KCMO counts 52.

Better than that . . . Check this LOCAL CRIME EXPERT TESTIMONY FROM DR. ERNEST EVANS who crunches the numbers and concludes that the "Ferguson Effect" is still influencing life on local streets.

Here's the word . . .

Dr. Ernest Evans: "According to the 2013 KCPD Annual Report at that time there were 1427 officers on duty with the KCPD. And, 2013 was the last full year before the Ferguson tragedy of August 9, 2014. Today, there are 1294 cops on active duty with the KCPD. As a number of veteran cops have told me:

"No one want to be a cop anymore." With our homicide totals at 52 for 2017 compared to 40 at this point in 2016, the city is facing a major crime crisis.

"At the end of 2016 there were 1,313 officers on duty with the KCPD--the lowest number in a decade. As of March 31, 2017 that number is at 1,294. What we are witnessing, in KCMO and all over the country, is what I call the second aspect of the "Ferguson Effect"--cops leaving the job and police academies being unable to keep up with the loss of officers. Ending the DOJ initiated "War on the Police" will have some impact on lowering homicide and crime stats, but we are in for a long period of rebuilding the nation's police departments."

You decide . . .

  1. I guess a new streetcar, airport and hotel will really help all of these problems.

  2. Don't just blame the developers. That gets old. KCMO spent one year studying this problem in the citizens task force and their results and suggestions have led to this situation.

I see this when listening to the police scanner at night. Some nights they have events they cant even respond to in time because every unit is on a call, or dealing with some fucked up situation. One night they were short on cars, and supervisors.

Thats why I always post props to dispatch and the guys out there on the ground. They take call after call after call. You listen to JOCO police channels and there are periods of silence, and usually its some burglary or drunk driver. KCMO nights have so many reports of shots fired in some area you cant even keep up with them.

I think the thugs on the streets notice this, and they know their chances of getting away with homicide or shooting up someones house or baby moma is rather good for them.

Who is the one running against Sly James? Is it Jermaine Reed or Lucas? Either or neither of them will get this under control.

Hell, after reading this article im going to listen to the scanner app tonight once the sun goes down.

Check out Radio Reference if you are on laptop or tablet, or go to your cell phone app store.

  13. If you slashed the police department where I live by 80% I bet crime wouldn't rise a bit. I bet most towns are like this that don't have a high black population. Funny thing about us white folk. We stay in school and get jobs so we don't have to lead lives of crime. Our parents are generally in their mid-to-late 20's, not 15. Our parents raise us right and both parents are present, we're not baby-incubators and baby daddies. We're not on welfare and aspire for better things for us and our kids. We actually have expectations for our kids beyond being the most successful drug dealer on the block and going on welfare themselves, just like several generations before them. Most of us don't have family members in prison. More cops would mean nothing to us because we don't need deterrents, we have morals and expectations of ourselves. Until black people value education, nuclear families, employment, and actually earning what they want nothing will change for them. A million more cops wouldn't change their behavior. They have to do it for themselves but we all know they wont.

  15. There's only 19 cops less than last year and it doesn't mention retirements or cops moving into management. Still you have 1294 and yet they only use 180 a day. That's still over 1100 cops not doing anything. Terrible management is what this equates to

  16. Ferguson effect my ass!

This is the result of the wealthy controlling the message and making everyone think ALL taxes are BAD and ALL government is BAD.

As a result almost ALL the politicians (left or right it doesn't matter) find themselves in a culture of cuts and beholden to the money interests. In such a culture tax money is available gets doled out in wealthy interests give a ways like Trolleys, Airports and Hotels or to defense contractors for items the military doesn't need and doesn't help the troops. But then little is left for the infrastructure and social supports. So we are told that cuts must be made to the infrastructure and social supports because they are draining us! Not the special interests or the 'job creators'.

Social justice will begin when people realize what the real problems are. Not the things they hear through the MSM or their DailyKos or Briebarts.

    Very well put 6:49

I do agree, but also think that good people in immediate need suffer because of those who cant wear their pants above their knees.

When I drove around the side streets last evening on both sides of 35th and prospect...the narrow crowded streets with the big block parties what you posted is what I witnessed. Girls who looked like 15-16 with big pregnant bellies sticking out from underneath their tight shirts wearing shorts too short and tight for their size. Military aged men who clearly dress themselves to look intimidating to others. Loud music with the most filthy of lyrics and drunkenness in front of groups of little children who will grow up thinking this is normal.

  23. @ 8:24..the over inflated command staff that Forte made is what is killing it...that and the special do nothing units like NOVA. Not all officers are in patrol like the 180 per day yoi say. There are other units that have to do the investigations. Unfortunately all of the captains and majors that have no duty's do anything with patrolling the streets.

  24. 8:53 please point out what has been written that is incorrect or untrue. Calling people racist is too easy. Bring some facts and figures to the conversation. If you walked down my street or moved in across the street from me you would have no problems in our neighborhood. If I moved to the 35th & Benton or 20th & Topping would I be fine? Fuck no and you know it. So let's hear what you've got, calling names is easy.

  25. Hey, are you the same black guy who is killing all the old white grandfathers on the walking trails?

    ReplyDelete
  26. @9:13 There are 1904 total people working for KCPD, (KCPD's stats not mine) the numbers floating around are 1294 police officers for patrolling or what not, there's been no mention of the rest of the dept. you have six districts that hire ten officers per district per shift with three shifts correct? That is where the 180 comes from. now there is supposed to be ten officers per district but people are off for various reasons making that number even less per day. I do agree with most of what you are saying though. Management does nothing so it affects the moral of the rest of the dept.

Whether a person decides to kill someone, or not, has nothing to do with how many police are on patrol. It has absolutely nothing to do with Ferguson. Do you really think the killers think, "Hey the white cops are deliberating slacking, their morale & numbers are down. Now's a good time to kill that man that I've decided should die. Otherwise, I'd just be cool."

Killers are only thinking about killing & not consequences, or difficulties. Their on a mission.

The killing is brought to you by the War on Drugs.

Their is nothing the police can do, but respond to reports.
Don't blame them for not performing miracles, like stopping people from killing each other.
