The exit signs are blinking red at the Jackson County Courthouse and our KICK-ASS INSIDER BLOG COMMUNITY is first with news of two top ranking administrators on their way out.

WORD OF HIGH PROFILE RESIGNATIONS REVERBERATES THROUGHOUT THE JACKSON COUNTY COURTHOUSE TODAY AND SIGNALS TROUBLE TO INSIDERS!!!

First up . . . A surrender at COMBAT . . .

Just now at an administrative meeting, Stacey Daniels-Young announced her retirement from her position as COMBAT director. The former police board commissioner is a high profile leader in the community and her departure during this jail hot mess and the rising homicide count is a loss that threatens to impact neighborhoods. On the bright side, insiders assure us that her transition will be slow as the Community Backed Anti-Crime Tax effort works to find a replacement.

Behind the scenes, a shakeup inside Exec Frank White's office is causing a stir . . .

Chief Administrative Officer Mary Lou Brown announced that she is resigning from the County's top management post (CAO). Team White was allegedly hit by surprise with this departure and insiders tell us that "Mary Lou will have no problem finding another senior level management gig as she was one of the few remaining quality managers left in the building."

COURTHOUSE INSIDERS FEAR THAT TOP LEVEL DEPARTURES SIGNAL TROUBLE AHEAD FOR JACKSON COUNTY AND EXEC FRANK WHITE!!!

Here's the word:

"The County is a ship without a captain. (Exec) Frank is is delegating most of this duties and playing ribbon-cutter-in-chief. Right now, the County needs somebody who is going to be hands on and manage all of the changes that need to be made. So far, we haven't seen that . . ."

To be fair, Insiders who support Frank White point to a great deal of continued public trust and backing for the Exec's agenda amid the recent budget battle and over disputes with far more "seasoned" denizens of the Legislature.

TKC Fun Fact: In Recent Polling Ahead Of The Go Bond Vote, Jackson County Executive Frank White Was Ranked As The 2nd Most Popular Elected Official In Jackson County Behind Mayor Sly James.

Meanwhile, a slew of lawsuits continue to hit Jackson County and insiders are already talking about the upcoming election season.

  1. Frank was never going to be a hands on guy. I don't konw if voters understood that but it's obvious now. The important thing is how much this jail mess is going to cost Jackson County taxpayers. Come property tax time, when people see the increase in thier costs. They might not be so kind and generous to Frank.

  2. Time to clean up the county.

And i'm not talking about Frank.

Look at the legislators. That is where the real work for reform should start. None of them should be reelected.

  3. Frank White is in way over his head and those that could help are watching him drown. If he was smart he would resign before the real truth comes out.

  4. Right on 2:44. Frank's the one ought to be resigning

  5. What exactly is Frank White's agenda? He got his son a cozy no-work job, he likes getting his picture taken, and he thinks rapes at the jail are only a problem when the media finds out about them.

    1. That sounds like the "agenda" right there.

  6. Stacey is a fucking hot mess. Drags her ass late to meetings, falls asleep at meetings, spotty work schedule. Her staff lets Urban Summit run the Combat funds. And where the hell is Combat bookkeeper?

I am wondering OUT LOUD what would turn up in a drug screening if Stacey peed in a cup?

And any elected official spending more than 2 terms in the County Legislature is a political loser.
They are part of the o going mismanagement of the county.
I tire of the petty theft of souls, cheap power plays, misspent county funds. Take these clowns away. Their servility to Frank White is not amusing.

  7. It's sad that neither KCMO or Jackson County have elected governments that in any way resemble serious, well-run organizations.
And sad, not just for their taxpayers and residents, but detrimental to the success and well-being of the entire metro and region.
Both JaCo and KCMO are little more than operations that collect hundreds of millions of dollars from the taxpayers, pour it all into a big trough, and dispense it to insiders, friends, campaign contributors, assorted grifters, developers, and whoever comes through the door and makes a deal or offer, and never address or even notice the actual mission of local government or their responsibilities to their constituents.
Every single day there are new revelations of the incompetence, poor priorities, waste and abuse, and outright corruption.
    It never ends.

  8. Frank is incompetence personified in a suit. Caleb Clifford is dirty. Sadly, most of the public and the STAR are so disengnaged from county government that people getting raped and killed on Frank's watch is a "minor" story to cover.

    1. Yes Caleb Clifford is dishonest and should not be in the position he is in.

  9. Voters are in the dark about most if this stuff because the newspapers are so conflicted. Look no further than the tax abatements to see what I mean.

  10. We can not possibly loose out if bureaucrats are quitting. They can't waste our money if they don't have access to it. You do have to wonder what these poor dependent rednecks did before there was a dozen layers of government watching over them.

  11. White is a waste.

  12. How many Anonymouses are on this list? They should call themselves Anonymous no-know1, Anonymous no-know2,etc.

  13. Who they need to get out of office is Jean Peters Baker. They need to investigate her and her whole office of prosecutors. She is just as corrupt as Dawn Parsons and Amy McGowan. Someone needs to run against her I bet they would win because so many want to see Jean gone

  14. Jim Nunnelley making a comeback? Hahahaha!
