SORRY!!! YOU MISSED YOUR CHANCE TO VOTE IN THE RIGGED KANSAS CITY TOY TRAIN STREETCAR EXTENSION ELECTION!!!

The deadline for voters to apply for the absolutely corrupt and completely rigged streetcar extension election expired at 5PM today.

The process was overly cumbersome, ineffective and geared toward turning away as many voters as possible.

The outcome of the vote will likely be decided by less than a few hundred ballots.

Remember that last time around when voting was conducted at PUBLIC POLLS AMONG A WIDER SWATH OF residents the measure was resoundingly defeated.

And so . . .

THE ONLY WAY FOR KANSAS CITY STREETCAR SUPPORTERS TO WIN AN ELECTION IS TO STEAL IT!!!

Public Library honcho Crosby Kemper III called the first toy train election that used this process "the most corrupt election in Kansas City history since the Pendergast era" but this time around he was mostly silent while a campaign of tax fighters managed to post a few billboards around town and send out some mailers from the cash they scraped together from a smallish pool of donors.

Luckily, this first vote is only the first part of an even more complicated process that involves a few more rigged elections, City Council complicity and the continued payoffs to the local cheerleader consultant class who are content to sell out urban core residents with outdated technology while other cities move toward autonomous transit, ride-sharing, telecommuting and electric buses -- All of which are far more flexible, efficient and forward thinking than old school rail.

Developing . . .

I wouldn't say "rigged" as much as burdensome. Voting overall in Kansas City has stayed in the 1950s. Just now they're starting to update with electronic voting that is still behind them times. This is just one more example of how KC is outdated.

  4. Electronic voting had nothing to do with it, the whole purpose of the ridiculous mail in vote was to make it too difficult for the people to defeat

^^^ Keep the consultants working late. That's what they hate. They just want to cash the check without any hassle.

Sorry Jason. You're going to have to show up to some meetings like the rest of us.

  10. Streetcar going to the plaza makes sense. Maybe to Northtown as well. Beyond that, doesn't it get too expensive per mile?

  12. In Atlanta, they have MARTA.

The people there call it, Moving Africans Rapidly Through Atlanta.

They may as well use taxpayer dollars and the streetcar to hustle up all that wonderful diversity onto the Plaza. It doesn't quite look like a Tarzan movie down there yet, so bring it on!!!!

JuJu Bwana!! No go to Plaza!! Humgowa!!!

  15. My wife and I applied to get ballots (we live in the area) which never showed up. Hell, I was probably going to vote for the streetcar, but from this point forward, for the rest of my life, whatever City Hall is for, I'm against it.

  17. If the streetcar extension is approved, the people living near the end of the route at 51st and Brookside will regret every moment of it when the streetcar riders take over the parking in front of their homes for blocks and blocks around it, especially when there is a big event. The people in River Market already hate what the streetcar has done to their parking.
