And so we ask:
ARE KANSAS CITY DRIVERS OR CARELESS PEDESTRIANS TO BLAME FOR THIS SPATE OF DEADLY RUN-INS?!?!
Either way, we post this link as a caution to locals to be careful walking near local streets wherein smartphones are increasingly causing locals to stupidly ignore what's happening right in front of them.
You decide . . .
In the incidents described in the story, it seems the pedestrians were at fault. I often see people running across a busy street to catch a bus, or just crossing in the middle of a block. Surprised more people are not hit.
ReplyDeleteEven without a smartphone to distract the walkers, they just step off into traffic without even looking. The laws of physics are clear - auto vs. human body? Winner: Auto
ReplyDeleteBoth Driver's and pedestrians, are to blame. The pedestrian is walking around like a zombie And some driver's are not paying attention I almost ran over a Jaywalker today tried to dart across the street and he was 500 ft from a cross walk I stopped but I could have got, rear ended
