Kansas City No Violence Alliance program: Helping public safety or not?
The Kansas City No Violence Alliance is a program designed to directly deal with repeat violent offenders to give them better life options. The 41 Action News Investigators take a look at the effectiveness of that program as Chief Darryl Forte, who championed NoVA, retires May 20.
We don't need anymore programs we need cops on the street... PERIOD!!! Stop the programs and stop funneling much needed money to adhoc groups.

ReplyDeleteBut when you elect and appoint people in KCMO city government who have little or no appreciation or understanding of municipal government, or really even very little interest in what their responsibilities are, their regular course of action is to think that they can delegate away the boring responsibilities of providing direction and oversight for issues like public safety to every fake nonprofit or academic that comes along to take that job off their hands.
Thus we have ad Hoc, NoVa, Mothers in Charge, COMBAT, and who knows how many other people on public payrolls who mostly spend their time telling everyone what great jobs they're doing and asking for more money, but accomplish very little and have no accountability for results whatsoever.
Elect more regular folks interested in making their community a better place for the people and businesses that actually are here instead of politico celebrity wannabees who spend their time in office looking out for themselves, their friends, and campaign contributors, and who are looking for a private sector place to land at the end of their terms or what they're going to run for next.
You can't build much of anything without a strong foundation and KCMO government has been a regional joke for decades.
Let me look at the Homicide rate..... Helps Nope.

Nova is a good thing but when you call 911 the ole Patrol Officer shows up and takes care of business not Nova.

ReplyDeleteNova is a waste! Can't do much when you sit in the office and work day shift Monday thru Friday. So is hot spots and several others but don't complain or we can meet in the mat room! Anytime a supervisor has to go into a class and yell and get pissed off just telling everyone what they "do" then you are lying to yourself!
