AFTERMATH: KANSAS CITY SUPPORTS INTERNATIONAL WORKER'S DAY ACCORDING TO MAYOR SLY JAMES PROCLAMATION!!!
As we reported previously . . . The Mayor offered UNITED WE STAND protesters the support of City Hall by way of proclamation.
While the words ran contrary to his recent vote against a wage increase for Kansas City workers . . . The throngs of supporters didn't seem to mind.
And so . . .
WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED FROM THIS DAY OF WORKER PROTEST IN KANSAS CITY?!?!
Some of our blog community remind us that KCMO doesn't yet pay all of their employees $15-an-hour while those of us focused on the future fear that algorithms, apps, kiosks and maybe even robots will one day soon serve the final solution to so many complaints from workers about compensation . . . And in the long run, that might hurt even more people looking for employment in a crowded marketplace and planet that just surpassed a population of 7.5 BILLION souls.
