Will Kansas City Earth Day Save The Planet?!?

Here's a quick look at more "progressive" politics for people who don't really have anything fun planned for the weekend . . .

On Earth Day people in more than 100 cities are taking to the streets to March For Science. The rally is a response to what organizers say is a political climate that threatens science's role in the country.

The March for Science - Kansas City will take place at Washington Square Park from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 22.

And then . . .

KCMO.Gov: Kansas City, Missouri, residents looking to properly dispose of those larger, more difficult recycling items need to look no further than the city’s free Earth Day recycling event coming Saturday, April 22, from 8 a.m. to noon in the parking lot across from the Manual Career and Technical Center, 1320 E. Truman Rd.

And whilst we respect all EARTH MOTHERS . . .

Today's local eco-rage might just be another opportunity to blame the Prez and his bad haircut for all of the world's problems while ignoring that the mobile phones in most people's pockets are manufactured by way of horrifically wasteful slave labor.

WILL WASTING A LOT OF POSTER BOARD AND SPRING CLEANING REALLY SAVE THE WORLD FROM IMPENDING GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE DESTRUCTION?!?!?

It's a fun topic to consider given that increased pollution is often tied to economic gains for emerging nations that's still driven by American consumer demand.

You decide . . .

  1. Never thought about that.

All of those posters and signs in the park today will be a big waste of paper and not just time.

  2. Anybody who has ever seen the parking lot at Arrowhead after a tailgate could easily surmise that there is so hope for the planet.

  3. The Science March, held on this Earth day, is a front for life hating atheistic propagandists using "Science" as a front.

Earth day was established on April 22, 1970...the 100th anniversary...to the day...of the birth of Vladimir LENIN; a man who set in motion a system that killed more people than Hitler.

Its not about GREEN...its about RED.

  7. I'm surprised so many racist are against science since eugenics like social Darwinism theory that brought about planned parenthood.

Today I made a special point to save all of my fast food napkins for future use.

And you know what? It felt really good to be helping out.
