TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY FEARS HAPHAZARD CITY HALL INFRASTRUCTURE 'REPAIR' DESPITE EPIC $800-MILLION GO BOND VOTE PROMISES!!!

This morning we drill down into Kansas City neighborhood concerns and come away with an important perspective about the reality infrastructure improvements taxpayers were pledged following the approval of $800-million in new City Hall debt.

To wit . . .

KANSAS CITY RESIDENTS OFFER SHOCKING IMAGES AND TESTIMONY OF HAPHAZARD AND INCOMPLETE INFRASTRUCTURE REPAIR IN THE AFTERMATH OF GO BOND ELECTION VICTORY!!!

Here's the word accompanied by more horrific images from the Southland . . .

Tax Fighter Anger Over 600 block West 67 and Valley

Folks we just gave you $800m blank check to spend on our infrastructure.

Is this how you plan on spending it?

Troy you sent out a crew to cut down a giant tree at West 67 Terrace and Valley. Apparently it took 2 days to do it and not only did they break the sidewalk and storm sewer but they also used the storm sewer as a trash disposal to get rid of the branches please see pictures.

This is not how the job is to be done. I can't understand why this nonsense is continually tolerated in the 6th district.

Can someone get back to us with a plan to fix this?

Also (6th District At-Large Councilman) Scott Taylor had promised that Troy was to get back to us on a number of items such as trees blocking street lamps, and public works guys marking off road work as being finished when it has not . . . Never has.

Does anyone know if Scott still represents us?

  1. I guess 800 million doesn't buy as much as it used to. Too bad. I guess we can always vote for more taxes and see if that works again.

  2. KCMO quality workmanship!

  3. Dear Tax Fighter,

Just a quick note to explain why I haven't addressed your concerns previously.

If we didn't get that $800M bond issue passed, my ass was grass! Now, that it's behind us, I can waste some time responding to peons like you. You see, I'm now on a glide-path to retirement. I'll be long gone before the shit-bomb known as the KCMO Budget detonates, leaving taxpayers on the hook for yet more massive tax increases. It's either that or join a growing list of other municipalities across the country declaring bankruptcy.

Now, as for your quibbling over the quality of Public Works service, rest assured that the city of Kansas City continually strives to provide our residents with world-class public service....Yada Yada....high-tech city....streetcar...Go Royals.

Still fat, dumb, and irresponsible, yours untruly,

    The Honorable Beneficent Troy Schulte

(P.S. No, Scott Taylor does not represent you, as he's too busy shaking down developers for campaign contributions. $300,000+ so far)

  4. I'll bet if you select the "right" contractors for all the "right" reasons, that project alone could cost at least $800 million.
Now comes the time of serious priorities, oversight, management, and accountability.
Good luck to all who will contribute to the fund.
    For decades.

  5. Treat the city like a contractor. Never give them a dime until the work is done right.

  7. Kevin McManus and Scott Taylor do not care one bit about residents of the 6th District. They have NOT had one townhall meeting or meeting where residents can hold them accountable.

  8. The only surprise in all this is how quickly the backlash has started. You fools voted to give these grifters a blank check. You will be lucky if you see any improvements anywhere. Suckers

    ReplyDelete
  9. Kansas City will just continue to vote for the dummocrats. What do you expect.

  10. "Suckers" is the perfect term! You folks who voted for this debt for years to come with no ceiling if the city defaults are just that... SUCKERS!

You can see that your tax dollars ARE NOT AT WORK but yet you turned right around and voted for a huge raise in your personal property tax as well as your real estate tax, and again no ceiling if the city defaults.

So if you get taxed out of your home and you voted for the GOOOOOO Bond, SUCK IT UP!

  12. Looks like any district in KCMO. The more repairs they do the more damage is done in the process of doing the repairs.

  13. I expect so very, very little from Sly, his gang and any city department. I'm rarely disappointed.

  14. You're lucky they responded at all. Most service calls take about 6 months in Kansas City. And I guess THIS is what you get at the end of it.

  15. This is how Kansas City became Detroit. Thanks Sly!

  16. Detroit is actually doing much better than KCMO.

  17. Documentation of City fraud is available via the 311 Action Center cases. I know. I've been submitting them for years. City leaders and department managers just turn a blind eye. Nobody wants to stop the feeding frenzy at the trough.

  18. So how many of you Peckerwoods voted?

  19. Rating for the bonds even before the vote:

I voted no, but I'm leaving the area in the next year or two. Good luck y'all!
