Missouri auditor subpoenas state Department of Revenue over handling of tax refunds
JEFFERSON CITY * Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway said she had issued a subpoena to the state Department of Revenue to force the department turn over information about its management of income tax refunds. Galloway said the subpoena was issued six weeks after she first requested the information as part of an audit to ensure Missouri taxpayers get refunds within the time period required by law.
