HIPSTER GENTRIFICATION TARGETS YOUNGSTER PLAY TIME ON KANSAS CITY WESTSIDE!!!

Excellent write-up of this neighborhood controversy and the consequences of real estate speculation . . . Nobody wants another major correction but the 2008 collapse did have a bright side in that it paused this kind of local bullying . . .

West siders fear changes may ruin neighborhood park's baseball fields

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Some people on the west side are concerned that changes may ruin a popular neighborhood park. Nearly 5 years ago, Major League Baseball helped create a playing field that's the envy of the metro area at Mulkey Square Park, near 13th and Summit streets.

  1. I mean that's life in the city. Those people don't own the park. The park is there for anyone to use and they should. They excuse they don't want the field to be over-used is BS. They just want anyone else to play on it.
