Not without severely impacting people who live near this freeway. It's convenient and close proximity to a major thoroughfare would tank properties nearby. This is a bad idea for many reasons. If its not broken, it doesn't need fixing. Who cares what other Cities are doing? There's probably a real need to reduce highways in other, more populated cities but with the low number of folks who actually live in Kansas City relative to its major counterparts, this doesn't make sense and it would have severe consequences. Leave it alone. Anyway, Kansas City has no control over State Highways. Let's hope that our state electeds put an end to this before it begins.
ReplyDeleteRemoving the Shoplifter Escape Expressway would be a terrific idea, but it could cost the municipal court millions in $35.00 fines.

ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea let the airlines land their. Let all of the downtown shops get the Airport Dollars and we can save building another albatross to hang around the TaxPayers Neck.
