KANSAS CITY WEED DECRIMINALIZATION PETITION STAYS WINNING!!!

Just confirmed by the KCMO City clerk . . .

THE PETITION TO DECRIMINALIZE MARIJUANA IN KANSAS CITY HAS MORE THAN 2000 VALID SIGNATURES!!!

NORML KC put forward the effort proposing that possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana would be treated as a city ordinance violation with a $25 fine.

The council could still nix the petition in the next 60 days.

Also, remember that police are controlled by State officials in Jeff City so the question of oversight comes into play again.

  1. I'd suggest the city wait until after January 20th and check with the U.S. Attorney on what the Federal enforcement policy is going to be. It could be a real bitch for a guy to get caught with a joint and a gun and go away for decades when he thought he could only get a fine.

  2. First thing I think of after I light up a J Bone is what the hell did I do with my pistol?

  3. That was just an example genius. Hell, I'm no Einstein, but I can think of plenty of situations that will land a person possessing pot in prison if the Feds decide to enforce the laws and I seriously doubts Sessions (notorious for his stance against MJ) will really give a damn what Sly (what's his name) passes for city ordinances.
