    The most spiritual, meta-physical thought in my pantheon is that the deer are special.

    When I was a child, my friends & I would chase the deer away from the hunters.

    We didn't want out of state hunters killing our eye candy.

    Even my father who routinely harvested rabbits, & quail, to feed us would not kill the deer. He went out once to try, but soon came back & told us he just couldn't do it.
