A recent donation breakdown from Wired magazine reveals that suburbanites in the metro area are funding the rise to power of Donald Trump.
Take a look:
"Locally, Trump is reported to have received $12,418 from an Olathe zip code (66061) and $8,620 from two Leawood zip codes ($5,920 from 66206, $2,700 from 66211). Together those Johnson County neighborhoods gave $21,038 to Trump."
Meanwhile, a few post places in our ritzy corridor seem kinda stingy: "Kansas City, Mo. zip code 64112, which includes the Country Club Plaza and Loose Park, gave $8,273 to Clinton."
And while there aren't many people willing to put their money where their mouth is when it comes to politics . . . This listing of local donations reminds us that Greater Kansas City Area denizens are buying into what is objectively one of the worst choices American Democracy has ever presented voters.
