TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! AFTER SMALLISH RALLY, KCPD CHIEF FORTÉ ENGAGES BOTH CRITICS AND SUPPORTERS ON TWITTER AMID KANSAS CITY BLOODY SUMMER 2016!!!

With homicides in Kansas City at near record levels for this time of year, Chief of Police Darryl Forté finds himself at the center of a social media firestorm that could threaten his tenure.

To wit . . .

FOLLOWING AN INITIAL OUTPOURING OF ONLINE SUPPORT FOR THE CHIEF AMID RECENT CONTROVERSY . . . A RECENT RALLY REVEALED VERY FEW DEDICATED REAL WORLD FANS OF THE CURRENT KANSAS CITY TOP COP!!!

Thanks to eyewitnesses at the scene, our blog community can take a look at the photo and this testimony . . .

Here's the word . . .

"There was a rally on the steps of City Hall to support Chief Forte' last night. Only 7 people showed up, but Forté took to Twitter thanking each attendee personally. Sad.

"He then got into an argument on Twitter and embarrassed himself more than having only a handful of supporters. Apparently when asked about Kansas City homicides and injured children he doesn't care what Kansas City thinks."

Here's a screenshot and this link to the Twitter debate . . .

Accordingly, what this protest reveals is simple . . .

AMID THE RISING KANSAS CITY HOMICIDE COUNT AND RECENT DEBATE WITH COLLEAGUES, THE KCPD CHIEF CONFRONTS SIGNIFICANT OPPOSITION WHILE HIS BASE OF SUPPORT HAS OBVIOUSLY DWINDLED!!!

While mainstream media is content to file upbeat editorials filled with high praise . . . Our blog community simply reports the facts: The Chief is up against growing opposition, his leadership during the current murder spike has been repeatedly called into question along with his controversial public statements.

Is the Chief doing the best that can be expected amid a tumultuous election season and rising violence throughout the nation? As MSM shamefully contends: Is the Chief's connection to the African-American community the only thing keeping KCMO from enduring a riot like so many other racially divided cities? OR, are his his critics correct and the Chief's problems stem from difficulty as an administrator, defending the department from police cuts along with ongoing fallout from remarks that angered colleagues?

You decide . . .

  1. The chief has some work to do but there's no way that they will let him go any time soon. Not during this election and all of this rioting. It's a horrible way to attain job security but we've got nobody to thank but Donald Trump.

^^^^^ What has Donald got to do with Forte being a huge ass failure?

Forte needs to go, Forte has to go. What we need is a White ex-Marine in here running this police dept like it should be run and dealing with the thugs on the street. Like Super Dave said, get rid of that damn street car and use that money on manpower for the PD and get some GD law and order back in this town.

Then buy Worthless Jean a one-way ticket out of town and put somebody in that office packing a set of balls that will do something.

  3. He didn't even show up at his own rally??? Typical - he avoids any venue where there might be even a hint of controversy or he might be asked a question he can't - or doesn't want to - answer. It is indeed sad, but beyond that is it scary because there is NO leadership at the top of KCPD. The department might want to consider cutting their "community outreach specialist" loose. Pat Clarke is more then ineffective (7 people at a rally) and he's wasting the taxpayers money, yes, he's paid by the police department to do...nothing. Come on KCPD you are better than this.

  4. Everyone blames Trump for the last 7.5 years of black folk thinking they can act like THUGS. WTF?

  5. Pat Clarke must feel dumb. That long list of supporters translated into a handful of people, namely Clark himself as the head cheerleader. The police keep believing. Pat Clarke's influence is nil but he runs a good enough scam. What a person will not do for money...we may never know.

    1. Clarke also pushes murder victim families to a local funeral home where he is also supposedly "employed". Shameful he tries to take advantage of people during the most horrible time of their lives. Scammer doesn't even begin to describe his character, er, lack thereof.

  6. Why can't Kansas City make it into the top 30 cities for murders?

KC stays losing at the number of murders. Maybe TKC can help promote improved numbers.

  7. Time for the chief to go, why wait until the next kid gets killed? Let's change things and see if we can do better.

  13. Forte has done okay and he's not going anywhere. Would you rather have the guy who assigned special protection for his girlfriend?

  15. He really is a good guy. Won't get credit for half the good work done because he is a Black man. Yes, enough politicking and get to real police work. Can't please everybody. If you made enemies, you stood for something right. Time to unite the force. You can't be seen as a poppet. You see it can backfire on you. Do well, be well.

  16. Race has absolutely nothing to do with this. Integrity, ability, and honesty DO! The force cannot be united until someone who has those traits is in charge...and they will have their work cut out for them as they try to regain the trust and support of the rank and file. I certainly wouldn't want to be seen as a poppet...whatever THAT is.

  17. Kansas City has already proven we don't need police. Don't worry about it.

  18. Kansas City has a police department?
    You'd never know it.

    KCPD is for LOSERS.

  21. How can you call it a rally when ... let's be generous ... a dozen people showed up?

    What a fucking joke.

  22. How about no more money making DUI check points against working people and some inner city gun check points against thugs.
