KCTV5 offers this tragic report on Midtown Kansas City crime spike we've been discussing for quite some time . . .
"Authorities are investigating after thieves toting a shotgun robbed a group of park patrons.
Kansas City police were called about 11:30 p.m. Sunday to Brookside Park at East 57th and McGee streets on a robbery.
Police said one of suspects pulled out a shotgun and told the victims to get on the ground. The thieves then stole more than $1,000 worth of valuables, including jewelry, clothing and purses."
The only description offered is "four juveniles" . . .
