KMBC files this report from the scene: "Active" shooter engaged in standoff with police in KCK

The Kansas City Kansan: The standoff is underway at 1721 N. 73rd Terrace. Roads are blocked off near the area. According to police, an active shooter is in the area.

Fox4: Barricaded man opens fire on officers, prompting standoff

KSHB: KCK police have been called out to the 1700 block of N. 73rd Street on reports of shots fired.
