ReplyDeletethere has been no abandonment of background checks. EVERY gun purchasers in the USA is subject to a federal background check, period. What isn't part of this study is the rise in homicides, mostly in the urban areas, are oddlty enough right around the time when the economy hit the dumps, schools lost their acreditation, etc. Jobs and education dry up for the urban core, urban core turns to crime.
