PROPAGANDA: DEAD TREE MEDIA TOUTS ILLEGAL KANSAS CITY RED LIGHT CAMERA SURVEILLANCE DATA!!!

Here's yet another sign that Kansas City dead tree media is working in the interests of local government rather than readers or residents of this cowtown.

Check it:

MISSOURI HAS RULED TIME AND TIME AGAIN AGAINST ILLEGAL KANSAS CITY RED LIGHT CAMERAS AND NOW THE NEWSPAPER IS TOUTING DATA FROM THE ILLEGAL SYSTEM!!!

Yes, traffic is moving much more smoothly now that the red light cameras are off . . . Here's the Dead Tree Media headline that echoes ATS talking points:

Kansas City's red-light cameras show big uptick in red-light running

Of course Yael wants a Kansas City Red Light Camera revival despite rulings of Missouri courts:

Turn KC's red-light cameras back on

But instead . . .

KANSAS CITY RESIDENTS SHOULD ENCOURAGE CITY HALL TO TURN THE RED LIGHT SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS COMPLETELY OFF SO THAT THIS COMPANY DOESN'T KEEP LOBBYING FOR THEIR CONTRACT!!!

Reality check:

THIS ISN'T ABOUT SAFETY, IT'S ABOUT REVENUE AND KANSAS CITY DESPERATELY NEEDS RED LIGHT CAMERA CASH FOR THIS YEAR'S BUSTED BUDGET!!!

Don't take TKC's word for it . . . Go and ask anybody who has been the victim of this illegal transit surveillance system and see if they want the red light cameras turned back on . . .

Sadly, once again Kansas City is going to be forced to have this safety vs. surveillance debate when the reality is that it's MONEY and the lack thereof from the City's broke-ass budget that's really pushing this discussion to the forefront as politicos and pundits are all to eager to violate the rights of residents in order to justify their misguided priorities and rampant spending.

  1. Here's a better question. Have their been fewer rear end accidents at red light cameras?

  2. It's also about more government control over our lives, more police state!

  3. FAEL CAUGHT "RED"-HANDED

Please review Fael's recent comments on Ruckus, regarding the Brownback State of the State speech and the KS courts.

Anyone caught violating the law should be THROWN IN JAIL!

So now, Fael is advocating ignoring the court's ruling on red-light cameras? Oh, how quickly they forget their own words! His brain must be fried with full-time worries about the KC Star's imminent failure.

  4. Just saw this on the tv news and guess who lobbies for the company......Steve Glorioso, another of our KC political whores

  5. There once was a time ...1/27/14, 6:16 PM

Let's just face it. The news from City Hall has been terrible ever since DeAnn Smith walked out with her then wonderful round boobs.

Since then nothing interesting happens in City Hall, and DeAnn has spent her time eating chocolate bars and high-carb snacks out of TV Station vending machines.

NO AMOUNT OF MAKE-UP CAN COVE-UP THE SERIOUS DAMAGE YOU HAVE DONE TO YOUR ONCE HOTTIE FIGURE DEANN! (Although Lord Knows you have tired to prove that wrong!)

The last time I saw DeAnn stuffed into one of her "suits" it was frightening! The Bewbies have visibly sagged and stretched. From behind her skirt looked like a convention of badgers!

DAMN IT I MISS THE OLD DAYS!

  6. I've been here for 3 years now. I came from a busy State. I see so many opportunities for the State to obtain tax dollars without infringing on our rights. It's the people in office and the miss-allocated tax dollars.

She sure used to be taste-worthy, in a cheap southern belle sort of way.

According to her DeAnn's own Facebook admissions many of those pounds can be traced to bourbon.

She used to be able to see the little rose in the front of her panties until she hit the "Four Roses" head on.

  11. So the camera company has spent the last few days making the lazy assed local news media circuit with footage showing a FEW vehicles and their own generated statistics touting how dangerous the city would be without the city paying them hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep us safe.

In its ongoing tradition of incredible stupidity not one media genius asked the camera company mouthpiece if the city got paid anything for their burning up electricity and using our traffic light poles to create this little media blitz. Of course the company insists it isn't about money, but about safety. Of course, I am betting the camera folks didn't give one cent of the jillions they got from KC to charity.

In the mean time the dumb asses of KC take and swallow the whole thing lock, stock and barrel. Of course not one independent party validated any of this spin, data or motives behind this blitz. but yep, it was on TV so it has to be fact. So now I guess the police force will have to be sent to trade school to learn how to use those old fashioned electronic ticket devices. Man that is really gonna cut into trips to Krispy Kreeme and disassemble the entire law enforcement mechanism in this tow. Woe is Me!

  12. Missouri has ruled time and time again against illegal Kansas City... it's a wonder nobody has been escorted out of City Hall in shackles, yet.
