Maybe Missouri State Greeting: High-Five!!!

Show-me today's sign that the "news" isn't really that serious:

KSHB:: Courtney Allen Curtis, (D) District 73, introduced a bill to the Missouri House of Representatives that would make the high five the official state greeting.

STL Today . . . Missouri might be the first with a state greeting.

Fox4: He says he’s simply trying to reduce tensions caused by more serious discussions, things like education and the economy, that have been impacting the country in recent years.

UPI: The bill has already been read a second time.

2Now: Curtis is hopeful the high-fives get Missouri children interested in the political process.

More in a bit . . .

  14. Hey you doofuses, this bill doesn't cost the state anything at all.

It isn't like our legislature is paid by the hour or by the bill.

And Missouri can use some good press: we are kinda known as a dangerous, unfriendly state where you can get murdered in the city in KCMO or STL or raped and murdered by Ozark hillbillies standing their ground.

So yeah, vote YES on high 5 2014. Call your rep.
