Take a look at the latest group of officers to be sworn into the KCPD . . .

KCPD Chief Forté: "I was honored yesterday to swear in Kansas City's newest police officers. This group will graduate from the Police Academy in a formal ceremony tonight. They'll hit the streets for their first day of work on Sunday."
And, yes, it looks like we're going to need them.

KCPD officer's shot & killed a man for pointing a finger at them. Will they be charged? That fact that he held his hand & finger in the form of a gun is irrelevant. Not only must an officer identify what a suspect is holding to be a deadly weapon but they shall give them and opportunity to drop it!

DeleteThey DO NOT have to give them the opportunity to drop the weapon. The courts have upheld that fact time and time again.
