TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! STRANGE KANSAS CITY STREETCAR TOY TRAIN PHONE SURVEY SCARES VOTERS!!!

As Kansas City fears that we're on track for more violence when the temperatures get warmer, let's not forget that there's another costly terror train on the move.

To wit . . .

KANSAS CITY VOTERS ARE WORRIED ABOUT A RECENT PHONE SURVEY REGARDING KANSAS CITY'S TOY TRAIN AMBITIONS!!!

We've heard concerns about the questions but here's the weirdest one:

"If Kansas City was giving away a free Lexus for a 'yes' vote on a new street car line: Would you vote for it?"

Obviously, if this town is giving away cars . . . I'd like to be first in line. But it seems that this survey is really trying to gauge just how many crazy promises it will take to get a yes vote from residents on upcoming lines.

Clearly, they aren't asking anybody if they're okay with the Toy Train taking all of Kansas City's bus money.

  1. The Toy Train is just one of KC's many problems that came about during Mayor Sly's tenure. But it's also the most expensive.

  2. Secondhand reporting of a phone survey? I call bullshit. Give me the audio or see yourself back under your rock, sir.

  3. I didn't believe that they would actually pass this street car thing with almost no votes. But here we are.

    Now THAT is bullshit.

You can bet your last dollar there is going to be more Kansas City violence once warmer temperatures emerge. That's not a threat but a promise. Rogues will be out in full force! Professional, political or otherwise THUG LIFERS. It's all the same.

  13. Got the poll, it was a push poll to pump the numbers for both Sly and the street car. Clearly, if they are offering money to say you like them, the numbers are going to be skewed. very weird.

  14. CAN WE GET A NEW MAYOR PLEASE?!?

One who is not wrapped up with special interests like the ones involved with the $100 million 2 mile train that will cost the city a fortune, but fatten the wallets of the contractors?

  15. 12:37am. Please don't forget the cost of replacing the bridge across the interstate and the cost of moving the utilities under Main Street. This mess will easily go over $200K for a streetcar the taxpayers don't want.

  16. Amazing how the City is ignoring the so called "frivolous" lawsuit. That is our only hope as taxpayers. If it prevails, City Hall has again wasted a ton of our money.
