Lenexa, Ks. residents prevail for the moment over outdoor concerts and one of Kansas City's top artists . . .
JoCo Grinder's withdraws zoning request
The deets . . .
"STRETCH will still be able to open the Grinder’s restaurant -- but without the rezoning, only four outdoor events can be held there each year. All of those events will need prior approval from city council members."
It's a small victory and certainly represents an unfriendly biz attitude that has kept Golden Ghetto suburbs stagnant and mostly filled with nasty look-alike strip malls.
Two words: Overrated; Overexposed.
ReplyDeleteHave never seen, before today, a photo where he is not smiling.
ReplyDeleteHis "soul patch" is crooked, but arty.
ReplyDeleteSTRETCH will win. Watch him.
ReplyDeleteYet another example of Kansas at its business-friendly, limited gubmint, red-tape and regulations trimming best.
ReplyDeleteHe should apply for STAR bonds and corporate tax handout welfare. Kansas can't say no to that.
ROFLMAO 8:29.
ReplyDeleteI think he should buy Cleaver's Car wash.
ReplyDeleteThis fucking loser should give up completely. The food at Grinders is disgusting and so is the help. What a shithole!!!
ReplyDeleteblah blah, the food is so bad that he's looking to expand? Sounds like a jealous loser in the crossroads. Sorry your sushi place was spoiled.
ReplyDeleteNo shit. I guess Kansas only care about you if you need a fucking corporate welfare handout. Maybe he needs to ask for a tax abatment, get some "incubator" money, promise to bring 14 minimum wage jobs from Missouri over to Kansas. Then he could open a business there without intrusion.
ReplyDeleteYou know 11:43, a pile of shit will "expand" if you pump enough hot air into it. That's a good analogy for Grinders too. A pile of shit, with lot's of hot air making it grow. You may have my share of that shit..
ReplyDeleteDoes STRETCH only have teeth on one side of his mouth?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations dumb-ass Lenexa residents. That building will sit empty for years now. It isn't exactly on the beaten path. It wasn't going to be like Grinders downtown. It's not like they were going to have Rev. Horton Heat there or the Avett Bros. The shows would be small and the noise probably not bothersome at all. It would have been acoustic and smaller acts. You have a tiny bar just down the road in Jerry's Bait Shop that has bands with no problems. Have fun watching that building fall down.
ReplyDelete11:49, stick to your perfect Kansas experience and move to Leavenworth. It's the embodiment of all things Kansas.
