SHOW-ME CATHOLIC BIRTH CONTROL PLEA

Local clerics decry a recent ruling Missouri ruling on healthcare:

"Missouri's Catholic bishops have joined the chorus urging the appeal of a federal court ruling striking down the state's contraception insurance exemption for people with religious or moral objections."

And while some employers might find it painful to inadvertently subsidize birth control . . . Bishops playing God to advocate bosses playing doctor also seems like a hellish scenario.

  1. Since there is no god, people who believe in god shouldn't be in charge of anything. Of course, we can always count on Catholic Bishops to do the right thing? (sarcasm)

  2. Catholic clergy don't believe in artificial birth control. Squirting your juice into a little boy won't knock anybody up, so that's OK because it's "natural".

The only way Catholic Church garners new members for their retrograde superstition is to have innocent life born into it and "educated" by it. So they see birth control as a threat to their damaged existence as a going concern. Pathetic bastards.

The Wore of Babylon has such a stellar record in regards to its operation.

They (along with the Canadian & Irish governments) allowed the "Church" had children and adults declared incompetent so they could have them institutionalized so they would have labor for their workhouses.

They have allowed sanctuary in the Vatican for folks who were involved in covering up pedophilia and enabled them to continue abusing children.

As long as the insurance covers legal medications and procedures, an employer has no right to tell an employee how to use them.

    Moral objections, that's funny.

  5. Let the fuckers do what they want, once we cut them off from ALL public funds. AND make them pay taxes on their remaining income, as they've essentially become a Super PAC for the Republican Party. They'd be financially bankrupt in a week. They've been morally bankrupt for centuries.

  7. Ok, all Catholic bishops who were tried and convicted of covering up child abuse, sit down and shut up.

Now all the rest of you Catholic bishops who should have been tried and convicted of covering up child abuse, sit down and shut up.

    Problem solved.

  8. All those on their holier-than-thou high horses who would deny anybody their First Amendment rights to speak out on issues because you don't like their religion, sit down and shut up.

    Problem solved.

  10. Right. The next bishop would NEVER speak out against birth control.

    Morons.

  11. This Catholic finds the Church ridiculous. Contraceptives prevent unnecessary abortions. Do these men abhor modern medicine as interfering with God's plan when it comes to a person's time to die?

  12. 9:16 Churches that don't pay taxes do not have the right to engage in political activity. It's the basic concept of separation of church and state (both to protect the church and the state). Now if the Catholic Church wants to be a shill for the GOP, they are more than welcome to exercise their 1st Amendment rights. Just as soon as they start paying taxes like the rest of us.
