Follow-up on the religious debate that contributed to the Kansas City St. Patrick's Day Parade hard feelings . . .
Youtube Clip:
2013 St.Paddy's Day Parade and The Kansas City Atheist Coalition
The video features local atheists staking out every corner of Westport and Pennsylvania with their signs of protest and offering "info" on their worldview.
The narrator of the clip seems proud of the group's solidarity amid parade rejection.
On the bright side, it didn't seem like anybody was interested in anything more than a belief in good booze on that day.
That little punk, narrating the video, needs his fucking assed kicked good. Dumb assed jerk..
ReplyDeleteWho cares? Obviously no one in Westport. As an atheist I found this whole thing contrived and absurd. The Kansas City group is acting like making a decision to not believe in god is somehow tied to social justice. Idiots.
ReplyDeleteGood for them! Standing up for rights is the American way. I may not agree with them but I'll defend their right to say what they want.
ReplyDeleteAs someone who was raised in a Catholic Family, and who had to go to church, and do all the sacraments, I was nonetheless always -- and still am -- an atheist.
ReplyDeleteBut to listen to the rank stupidity of the noxious little jerk "narrating" this video is, if anything, even MORE off-putting than going to church.
At least at a typical church, they are TRYING to do what they THINK is right. This dick-wad is simply an annoying, snot-nosed sixth-grader WHO NEVER GREW UP.
Being a JERK is not the same thing as being a FREE THINKER.
Another thought for the needlessly annoying guy talking in the video:
ReplyDelete"The opposite of the religious fanatic is not the fanatical atheist but the gentle cynic who cares not whether there is a god or not."
quoted from:
Eric Hoffer's "The True Beliver"
So I read a couple of comments from atheists and they seem like normal rational people. Then I listen to the douche nozzle yapping in the video. Total opposite. The narrator is the type of asshole that files a suit so he can put an anti christian message next to a nativity scene, or who complains about the pledge of allegiance in school. Zealot Christians, zealot muslims, and zealot atheists have one thing in common, they are all ass holes, annoying, petulant, assholes.
ReplyDeleteThis is a vicious little bunch. A Chistian I know who actually went to some of their meetings got threatened.
ReplyDeleteTo Mark Smith:
ReplyDeleteI am the Life-Long Atheist who commented before you. And I completely agree with your comment at 9:12 AM.
Zealots of any stripe are in some important respects the antipathy of the reasoned mind -- and therefore work against the advance toward a truly civil society.
Take care, friend.
I see the punk was saying "don't fuck with us" and "solidarity, bitches".
ReplyDeleteCocksucker.
ATHEIST spells EATSHIT
One Joseph Hanratty says on the KC Star article comment section that he is going to do a "reverse IP lookup" on a commenter.
ReplyDeleteBitch.
The narrator will probably have David Silverman's job in a few years.
ReplyDeleteThe douche nozzle for forgot to mention, Google Me Bitch!"
