You saw it here first! BE THERE!!!!
ReplyDeleteA senseless use of this wretched museum. They should crate all their crap up and ship it to Union Station who might be able to display some of it occasionally. The mansion is gorgeous but the idiots in charge have criminally butchered the interior over the years. There are much better uses for the property.
ReplyDeleteI somewhat agree with Editor, but I'm excited that it's back open and plan to check it out very soon.
ReplyDeleteIf it were me, I would recreate the entire mansion into a furnished Victorian style home and excite visitors about investing in and restoring other homes in the area and preserving historic properties.
But I know there are many other factors that have to be considered in operating this museum and would never second guess the museum director.
the Kansas City Museum should be moved to Union Station and that should be the end of it. That way people might actually go see it.
ReplyDeleteEditor, El Bryan, and Anonymous have raised clueless to a whole new level.
