On the occasion of the Pope hanging up his pointy Pope Hat, the (false) dichotomy is pretty easy to identify in this situation and I'm really just posting these links because the image of Jordan Carver praying makes me feel strange in a good way.

Personally, TKC is a proponent of ancient conspiracy theory which claims the resignation was forced in order to make way for the next Pope who will be so incompetent that he'll be the last Pope. Accordingly, I've been waiting by my phone in my tin-foil Pope Hat (Mitre) expecting to answer the important call and serve Holy Mother Church at any moment.
