Getting ready for part deux in the mostly reactionary and politically wrong-headed fight to preserve a barbaric technology that is indefensible . . .
New York Times: Four Years Later, Slain Abortion Doctor’s Aide Steps Into the Void
Unrelated to this article . . . If religious rhetoric and silly politicos didn't thwart most efforts to advance birth control technology . . . I'm pretty sure the American birth rate would significantly drop given the endless recession . . .
So what we're left with infant slaughter by way of a grotesque medical procedure that hasn't advanced in DECADES and arguments betwixt zealots and the misinformed who mistakenly defend a practice as stupid as bloodletting in the name of women's rights and healthcare.
It's a well know fact the reason Kansas kills babys, is they like to fry them up like cracklings and eat them with a cream gravy. True fact.
ReplyDeleteGross but probaby not correct at.all
ReplyDeleteI have never been given a coherent and non-political answer to why someone needs to get an abortion at 26 weeks when:
ReplyDelete1) condoms are available
2) Morning after pill is available
3) RU-486 chemical abortion pill available.
4) you could have a surgical abortion earlier.
Say you are a really skinny person who gets spotty periods. So you go 3 months without one until you decide there may be a problem. That still gives you 14 weeks to walk from Walgreens to the abortion clinic.
Abortion needs to be legal and clean and safe. However, I do not think it is too much to ask that people terminate most all pregnancies early. If you are doing an amnio-syntesis and happen to find a horrifying genetic problem with your baby then you can still abort well before the Dr. Tiller 26th week mark. (Abortions related to the health of the baby are excepted anyway) but even that person has 5-9 weeks to get an abortion.
This just seems so selfish. Every day that fetus becomes more of a human and I don't think it is unreasonable with all the surgical abortion alternatives now to expect people to terminate pregnancies earlier if they are going to do it.
Look at the bright side.
ReplyDeleteIf not for abortion, there would be 20 Million more blacks in this country
Abortion really nails minorities.
"Every day that fetus becomes more of a human and I don't think it is unreasonable with all the surgical abortion alternatives now to expect people to terminate pregnancies earlier if they are going to do it."
ReplyDeleteBecomes more human?
I suppose it's a duck or a frog at conception then?
smh
Isn't this a lovely picture? It looks like the entrance to a landfill or a public toilet. And the sign, "Welcome to Kansas", probably should read "Squat and begin shitting now"...
ReplyDeleteWell Sock Monkey Holocaust (SMH, hi from fark.com)
ReplyDeleteA fetus at early stages of development will have gills and a tail. While it always has human DNA it develops human phenotypic characteristics.
Now that you've addressed a tangental point, as usual nobody has a good reason why a person needs an abortion at 26 weeks.
