ReplyDeleteKC and environs is becoming Detroit.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Hell.
They should have signs with silhouettes of skinny, toothless, people festooned along the way. Then to pay for it they could set up a toll booth that only takes cold medicine as currency.
ReplyDeleteAlmost all of those pictures are not in Independence. They are KCMO & Sugar Creek. Granted, it looks like shit but don't lay that on Independence.
ReplyDeleteSalva and The Rev will save Sugar Creek.

ReplyDeleteThis is the new America, but oh wait......we have Obamacare whatever the fuck that is !
ReplyDeleteA lot of that is an area known as "Inter-City", and neither Kansas City nor Independence cares at all about it. The sad thing is that both towns will condemn perfectly good property as being "blighted" if it meets their TIFF/corporate agendas, but they ignore absolute real blight that's embarrassing to the entire Metro area. The Truman Library draws visitors from around the world and this issue needs to be addressed, like, 15 years ago.
