By all accounts, today's Urban Summit was one an astounding success.
More to the point . . .
WITH RECORD ATTENDANCE IN ADDITION TO AN IMPRESSIVE ARRAY OF WORKSHOPS AND SPEAKERS, THE URBAN SUMMIT PROVED TO BE THE MOST IMPORTANT KANSAS CITY POLITICAL AND EDUCATIONAL GATHERINGS TO START THE YEAR!!!
Check the first message on the subject from a Kansas City Insider noting the highlights . . .
"It was a good summit. Surprisingly large turnout. Good workshops especially on crime, police - community relations, cooperating w/KCPD as opposed to snitching and education . . . Congressman Cleaver gave a rousing speech about the situation in DC."
Again, we're still gathering data on this one but we hear the crowd and the leaders in attendance were exceptionally impressive.
A good event. We need more like this one.

DeleteThe next Federal Program to come out of Washington, will probably have law abiding citizens turning in thier guns to welfare and Section 8 recipients on the way to work so that whatever guns are not needed by the "Protected Class" can be truned in for vouchers, for more benefits.

A typical workshop speech went like this:
"We have a problem. To fix that problem, we need a plan. With the right plan, we can fix anything. Other cities are facing the same problems as us. If we work together, we can fix these problems."
Well, then -- where are these effing PLANS you keep talking about? Who's in charge of that? Who's taking responsibility for that? Instead of talking about fixing a problem, how about actually DOING something?
